shipping my next hobby

hi! i'm alex — this is my personal website where i put the things i make and show off the fun parts of my life!

hello, my name is alex

optimizing my homelab

I fix hardware for a living, and build software for fun. Most nights I'm either up till 2am debugging a service on my homelab, or going down a rabbit hole on how to make my 10yr old video game console run linux.

I build the tool, then I meticulously refine it. That's the throughline: a caffeine tracker, a deprecated wireless headphone features manager, a local subway kiosk; each one starts as something I needed, and ends as something I'd love to show off.

Before any of this I was competing and coaching professionally in League of Legends, and robotics before that. Always trying to bring my unique mindset to figure out the system and solve it in the best way possible.
